Android 8.0 Oreo Update for Samsung, Sony and ZTE [Part 3]

A number of smartphones from Samsung have already been updated to Android Oreo. Some other devices from the leader of the smartphone market have yet to be updated. Sony has provided for the upgrade to Oreo a significant number of its smartphones. Samsung continues to update a number of its devices to Android Oreo. According to the Turkish website of Guncel Miyiz, owned by Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be launched in Turkey on May 18, 2018. It can be assumed that in other markets, an update will be provided shortly thereafter. It is also noted that the Galaxy A7 and A3 2017 will be updated in June. At the same time, nothing was said about the A5 2017 model, which began receiving updates in the United States.

Of course, it should be remembered that this time, most likely, is the time of updates that will be provided in Canada. Thus, there are likely differences in the time of the release of updates in other markets.

It is interesting to note that this list does not include the Galaxy S6, the upcoming update of which, as noted in addition, was previously confirmed on the support page of the operator T-Mobile. It was about the upcoming receipt of a significant upgrade of the operating system model Galaxy S6 Edge. According to a report from the Trusted Reviews resource, Note 5 software was also expected to be updated. The likelihood that these devices will receive an upgrade to Oreo remains, but the absence of official reports on this gives rise to doubts.

Sony Android 8.0 Oreo Update

ZTE Android 8.0 Oreo Update

ZTE did not talk about which of its phones will receive an upgrade to Oreo, and when the company asked for clarifications, its representative replied as follows:
